Tue Feb 04 12:39:17 IST 2025: ## Modi to Respond to President’s Address Amidst Opposition Scrutiny
**New Delhi, [Date]** – The Budget Session of Parliament entered its fourth day today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to deliver his reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address. This comes a day after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi raised several key issues including the India-China border dispute, the Prime Minister’s upcoming US visit, the “Make in India” initiative, and allegations of voter irregularities in Maharashtra.
The Minimum Support Price (MSP) is expected to dominate discussions in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Questions regarding the report of the committee tasked with providing a legal guarantee for MSP, and the government’s wheat and paddy procurement targets at MSP over the past three years, are on the agenda.
Opposition parties continued their pressure on the government, demanding a discussion on the recent Maha Kumbh stampede and criticizing the lack of a published list of victims from the January 29th incident. The first part of the Budget Session, which began on January 31st with the presentation of the Union Budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will conclude on February 13th, reconvening on March 10th and running until April 4th.
