**Johannesburg, South Africa:** India’s triumphant victory in the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup is further cemented with a commanding presence in the tournament’s official Team of the Tournament. Four Indian players, including Player of the Tournament G Trisha, were selected for the prestigious eleven.
Trisha, a powerhouse opening batter, led the tournament in runs with a stunning 309, including the first-ever century in the competition – a remarkable feat against Scotland. Her average was 77.25, and her strike rate soared above 147. Adding to her all-around brilliance, she also claimed seven wickets. Her opening partner, G Kamalini, provided crucial support, notably scoring an unbeaten 56 against England in the semi-final.
The Indian spin duo of Vaishnavi Sharma (17 wickets, including a sensational 5/5 against Malaysia featuring a hat-trick) and Ayushi Shukla (14 wickets, with 2/9 in the final against South Africa) also secured their places in the team.
The team also features several standout performers from other nations, including Jemma Botha (South Africa), Davina Perrin (England), and Caoimhe Bray (Australia), all exceeding 100 runs in the tournament.
