Sun Feb 02 17:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Allu Arjun to Attend Naga Chaitanya’s “Thandel” Event Amidst Past Controversy
**Hyderabad, India** – The upcoming Telugu film “Thandel,” starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is generating significant buzz ahead of its February 7th worldwide release. A promotional event, dubbed a “mass jatha” (public gathering), is scheduled for today at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Adding intrigue to the event is the presence of Allu Arjun as the chief guest.
This appearance comes after a tragic incident last December involving Allu Arjun. A stampede at a “Pushpa 2” benefit show resulted in the death of a woman, Revathi, and injuries to her nine-year-old son. Allu Arjun was arrested but later released on bail. His team has pledged financial assistance to the victim’s family.
The choice of Allu Arjun as chief guest for “Thandel’s” event is generating considerable speculation about his speech, given the recent tragedy and its connection to his past actions.
“Thandel,” directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is a romantic drama based on real events from Gujarat in 2018. The film is produced by Bunny Vasu under the banner of Geetha Arts, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. This marks the third collaboration between Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti.
