**Novi Sad, Serbia –** Tens of thousands of Serbian protesters, including many students, have spent nights in sub-zero temperatures in Novi Sad, continuing their demonstrations against government corruption. The protests, sparked by the collapse of a recently renovated train station roof that killed 15 people three months ago, have been ongoing for weeks.

Students, many having walked from Belgrade, have established makeshift camps, sleeping outdoors in blankets and huddled around fires. Despite the harsh conditions, they remain resolute in their demands for greater transparency and accountability in government-backed construction projects. While the protests have already resulted in the resignation of the Prime Minister and other high-ranking officials, including Novi Sad’s Mayor, the students feel their demands for systemic change have not been fully met.

“Our demands haven’t been met,” said medical student Dusan Tasic, echoing the sentiment of many protesters. “I’ll stay here as long as it takes.” The protests represent the largest movement seen in Serbia in decades, with students playing a prominent role. The demonstrations continue to put immense pressure on the government.
