Mon Feb 03 04:02:10 UTC 2025: ## Patna Celebrates Saraswati Puja with Full Devotion

**PATNA, [Date of Publication]** – The city of Patna celebrated Saraswati Puja with fervor on Monday, marking the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami. Although the Panchami Tithi began on Sunday, the Puja was performed on Monday according to the Udayatithi, ensuring adherence to traditional practices.

Devotees took advantage of the auspicious combination of Revati Nakshatra and Siddhi and Sadhya Yogas to offer prayers to Goddess Saraswati. Astrologer PK Jug explained that the Panchami Tithi remained until 9:36 AM on Monday, making this the most auspicious time for worship. However, due to the Udayatithi, prayers were accepted throughout the day.

The day holds special significance, as mentioned in the Brahmavaivarta Purana, being considered ideal for Aksharambh (initiation into learning) and Vidyarambh (commencement of education). Many parents traditionally initiated their children’s education by having them touch a slate (khalli) on this day.

Mr. Jug further highlighted that Vasant Panchami is considered an “Abujha Muhurt,” an auspicious time free from inauspicious moments. This means rituals like Mundan Sanskar (head shaving ceremony), Griha Pravesh (housewarming), laying the foundation of a building, and purchasing land or vehicles can all be undertaken without needing to consult specific timings.
