Sun Feb 02 18:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Low-Key Pre-Release Event for Telugu Film “Thandel” Sees Praise for Sai Pallavi
**HYDERABAD, February 3, 2025** – The pre-release event for the upcoming Telugu film “Thandel” was a low-key affair, held Sunday night with only the film’s unit in attendance. While Allu Arjun was initially slated to be the chief guest, his absence was due to overseas travel and health concerns. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga stepped in, joining Allu Aravind, Naga Chaitanya, and Sai Pallavi at the event. Pallavi wowed the attendees with a performance of the hit song “High Heels”.
Vanga heaped praise on Pallavi, recalling how her name came up during the casting of “Arjun Reddy.” He recounted being told she wouldn’t appear in sleeveless clothing, a perception he initially accepted but noted has remained unchanged. He also lauded the chemistry between Chaitanya and Pallavi, stating that the authenticity of their on-screen relationship is a key to the film’s success. Vanga further stated that Bunny Vas, the film’s producer, had previously shared the story with him, highlighting its potential appeal to Akkineni fans.
Chaitanya revealed that he affectionately calls his wife, Sobhita Dhulipala, “Bujji Thalli” at home, a term of endearment he also uses for his character’s love interest in the film. He also credited the villagers of Matsyalem in Srikakulam district as the true heroes of the film.
Pallavi expressed her appreciation for the director, Chandoo Mondeti, for his vision of her character, and for Chaitanya’s dedication to the role. The film, produced by Bunny Vas under the Geetha Arts banner and presented by Allu Aravind, is set to release on February 7th.
