**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Feb 2, 2025** – The Balaramapuram police have arrested the mother of a two-year-old girl, who was recently murdered under mysterious circumstances, on charges of financial fraud. The woman, who claimed to be a section officer at the Travancore Devaswom Board, allegedly swindled ₹10 lakh from a job aspirant with false promises of employment as a driver. Police have also discovered forged documents, including appointment orders, leading to charges of criminal breach of trust, cheating, and forgery. At least ten similar complaints have been filed against her. While the woman’s brother has been arrested in connection with the child’s death, police have yet to establish a link between the mother and the murder.
