Mon Feb 03 16:07:21 UTC 2025: ## Samson Out for 5-6 Weeks with Finger Fracture
**Mumbai, India** – Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson will be sidelined for approximately five to six weeks due to a fractured finger sustained during the fifth T20I against England in Mumbai. The injury, to his right index finger, occurred while batting in the final match of the series. He was unable to continue fielding and was replaced by Dhruv Jurel.
This injury effectively rules Samson out of Kerala’s Ranji Trophy quarter-final match against Jammu & Kashmir scheduled for February 8-12 in Pune. While his participation in IPL 2025 remains uncertain, BCCI sources indicate a potential return in time for the tournament with the Rajasthan Royals.
Samson has played 16 ODIs and 42 T20 Internationals, scoring 510 runs at an average of 56.66 in ODIs and 861 runs at an average of 25.32 and a strike rate of 152.38 in T20Is.
