**POORE MANOHAR, INDIA** – Police have launched a manhunt for Gabbar Vanvasi, who is accused of brutally beating a peacock to death with a stick in Poore Manohar village on Friday evening. According to Suriyawan Police Station SHO Arvind Kumar Gupta, Vanvasi struck the national bird, prompting villagers to raise the alarm before he escaped. The forest department has taken the peacock’s carcass for a post-mortem examination. Vanvasi has been charged under the Wildlife Protection Act.
