**Mumbai, February 1, 2025** – Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis lauded the Union Budget 2025, presented on Saturday, calling it a “dream budget” that will significantly benefit the middle class, newly employed individuals, MSMEs, and farmers. He highlighted several provisions he believes will particularly impact Maharashtra.

Fadnavis expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, emphasizing the budget’s positive impact on employment generation and India’s financial progress. He specifically cited the increased credit limits for fisherfolk and MSMEs, the 100% government procurement of pulses under a new Pulses Mission targeting 100 districts, and the new infrastructure pipeline facilitated through public-private partnerships and asset monetization.

The Chief Minister also welcomed the allocation for 200 new daycare centers for cancer care in Maharashtra’s government hospitals. He highlighted the benefits for Maharashtra’s thriving startup ecosystem from the announced infrastructure loan to state governments and the 50-year infrastructure loan. The increased procurement of cotton, from 25% to 100%, under a new mission was also praised for boosting farmers’ incomes in the cotton-growing state.

Fadnavis concluded by characterizing the budget as a milestone for India’s financial progress, reflecting an inclusive and mature economy in the 21st century.
