**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, January 31, 2025** – A Thiruvananthapuram court delivered life sentences to Rajesh (42) and Anil Kumar (49) on Friday for the 2011 murder of a woman. The Additional District and Sessions Court V found the duo guilty of murdering the woman in Nedumangad, also attempting to sexually assault her before pushing her down a staircase into a canal. The victim succumbed to injuries to her stomach, chest, and internal organs. The prosecution relied on circumstantial evidence as there were no eyewitnesses. Each convict received a fine of ₹1 lakh.
