**Kolkata, February 1, 2025** – A Trinamool Congress worker, Santosh Yadav, was murdered in Naihati, West Bengal on Friday. Eyewitnesses reported that Yadav was attacked by individuals on motorcycles, with some claiming gunfire while police state the attack involved bricks. The incident occurred in the Gauripur area of the Naihati Assembly seat.

Naihati Trinamool Congress MLA Sanat Dey blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), specifically citing former Barrackpore MP Arjun Singh.
