Fri Jan 31 20:20:00 UTC 2025: ## World’s No. 1 Golfer Scottie Scheffler Injured Making Ravioli

**Palm Beach Gardens, FL** – World number one golfer Scottie Scheffler is set to return to the PGA Tour after a holiday mishap involving a wine glass and some homemade ravioli. Scheffler, sidelined for a month due to a hand injury, revealed the details in a virtual press conference.

While attempting to cut ravioli dough using a wine glass as a makeshift cutter, Scheffler accidentally injured his hand, requiring surgery. The glass shattered, causing a significant cut that needed immediate medical attention. He received assistance from a friend who is a surgeon, stopping the bleeding and later undergoing a procedure performed by a hand specialist.

“It’s one of those deals where you don’t think about it in the moment,” Scheffler said, adding that he’d since heard similar stories from others who’d suffered similar injuries with wine glasses. “I’m using a bandage now,” he added, “but I’m good to go.”

The incident sparked online speculation, with fellow golfer Rory McIlroy even suggesting Scheffler hire a private chef. Scheffler jokingly responded that he already has a chef – his wife, Meredith.

Despite the injury, Scheffler expressed confidence in his recovery and is preparing for his first start of 2025. He’s currently using a minimal bandage and reports no lingering issues affecting his game.
