**Hyderabad, February 1, 2025** – Former Hyderabad Police officer P. Radhakishan Rao has petitioned the Telangana High Court to dismiss a criminal case filed against him. The case stems from a complaint by businessman G. Chakradhar Goud, who alleges Rao, while serving as DCP of the Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s Task Force in 2023, falsely implicated him in other cases at the behest of then-Minister T. Harish Rao.
Rao, who spent nearly 10 months in jail following his arrest in a separate telephone tapping case (for which he recently received bail), is seeking a stay on all further proceedings in the new criminal case. The High Court is expected to hear the petition soon.
