Fri Jan 31 21:01:41 UTC 2025: ## India Cruises into U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup Final

**Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia –** India secured a dominant nine-wicket victory over England in the semi-final of the ICC Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup on Friday, setting up a final clash with South Africa.

Chasing a modest 114, India reached the target in just 15 overs, fueled by an unbeaten 56 from opener G. Kamalini and a crucial 60-run opening partnership with Gongadi Trisha.

England, after a promising start, suffered a dramatic collapse in the middle overs. Despite a 37-run opening stand and a 44-run partnership between Davina Perrin and captain Abi Norgrove, India’s spin attack, spearheaded by Aayushi Shukla, Parunika Sisodia, and Vaishnavi Sharma, dismantled the English batting order. The trio claimed six wickets for just 11 runs, restricting England to a meagre 113/8.

This victory marks India’s second consecutive appearance in the final of the tournament. They previously won the inaugural event in 2023 against England. The final against South Africa, who defeated Australia in the other semi-final, will take place on Sunday at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
