**Pune, India** – India secured an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series against England with a convincing victory in the fourth match held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium on Friday night. Despite a strong start from England’s Saqib Mahmood, who took three early wickets, India’s Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya spearheaded a crucial partnership, guiding their team to a respectable total.

England’s chase got off to a promising start thanks to Ben Duckett’s aggressive batting. However, the spin duo of Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakravarthy effectively stemmed the flow of runs, restricting England’s progress. Harry Brook’s fifty offered a brief glimmer of hope, but wickets continued to fall regularly, ultimately leaving England well short of the target. Arshdeep Singh sealed the victory for India with a late wicket.

India’s batting initially struggled against Mahmood’s fiery opening spell, losing three wickets in the first over. However, Dube and Pandya rebuilt the innings, smashing boundaries consistently. Pandya scored a quick-fire fifty before falling to Jamie Overton, while Dube also contributed a significant score. Rinku Singh played an important role towards the end of the innings, hitting crucial boundaries and also a six.

Harshit Rana, a concussion substitute for Dube, further tightened the noose on England’s chase with a quick wicket, and the spin bowlers effectively stifled England’s batting line-up.

The match witnessed exciting moments, including impressive hitting from both sides and some brilliant bowling performances. The series now moves to Mumbai for the final match.
