Sat Feb 01 10:21:19 UTC 2025: ## India Clinches T20 Series Win Against England, Debutant Rana Stars

**Pune, Maharashtra:** India secured a commanding 3-1 victory in the five-match T20I series against England, winning the fourth match by 15 runs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Thursday. The match will be remembered for the impactful debut of concussion substitute Harshit Rana.

India, after winning the toss, elected to bat first. Their top order struggled, but fifties from Hardik Pandya (53 runs off 30 balls) and Shivam Dube (53 runs off 34 balls) helped them post a challenging 181/9 in their 20 overs. Other notable contributions came from Rinku Singh (30) and Abhishek Sharma (29). England’s bowling attack was led by Saqib Mahmood (3/35) and Jamie Overton (2/32).

The turning point came when Dube suffered a blow to his helmet. His replacement, Rana, made an immediate impact, claiming three crucial wickets and conceding only six runs in a superb 19th over. This performance was instrumental in restricting England to 166/9 in their 20 overs. Harry Brook top-scored for England with 51 runs, while Ben Duckett contributed 39.

England’s captain Jos Buttler made two changes to his playing XI, bringing in Saqib Mahmood and Jacob Bethell. Meanwhile, India captain Suryakumar Yadav made three changes, bringing in Arshdeep Singh, Rinku Singh, and Shivam Dube.

Arshdeep Singh started the England innings on a high by dismissing Saqib Mahmood early. However, a strong start from Brook and Duckett put England in contention. Nevertheless, disciplined bowling from Rana and other Indian bowlers, including Ravi Bishnoi (3 wickets) and Varun Chakravarthy (2 wickets), ensured a comfortable victory for India.

The series win marks another successful outing for India, with Rana’s stunning debut adding a memorable chapter to the series.
