Fri Jan 31 15:29:39 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Police Bust Heroin Ring, Seize 726 Grams Worth ₹4 Crore

**New Delhi, Feb 1, 2025** – Delhi’s Crime Branch has successfully dismantled a major interstate drug trafficking operation, arresting three individuals and seizing 726 grams of heroin with an estimated international market value exceeding ₹4 crore.

The arrests began on January 6th with the apprehension of Lalla Babu, a supplier from Dilshad Garden, in possession of 502 grams of heroin. Investigations revealed Babu worked for a larger supplier based in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and distributed heroin throughout Delhi-NCR.

While attempting to apprehend a buyer, Vijay from Kalyanpuri, on January 10th, police recovered an additional 99 grams of heroin from his abandoned vehicle. Vijay, a known criminal with 47 prior cases registered against him, evaded capture.

The crackdown continued on January 30th with the arrest of another buyer, Jitesh, from Anand Vihar. A search of his residence yielded 125 grams of heroin.

The combined seizures represent a significant blow to the drug trade in the region. The investigation is ongoing.
