Fri Jan 31 09:30:00 IST 2025: ## Blazers Extend Winning Streak to Three, Defeat Magic 100-79
**ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)** — The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Orlando Magic 100-79 Thursday night, extending their winning streak to three games. Anfernee Simons led the Blazers with 21 points, while Toumani Canara added 16 points and six rebounds. The win came despite Scoot Henderson fouling out early in the fourth quarter. Robert Williams, filling in for injured centers DeAndre Ayton and Donovan Clingan, dominated the boards with a game-high 12 rebounds and four blocks. The Blazers’ defense stifled the Magic, who shot just 34.2% from the field and committed 22 turnovers.
Franz Wagner’s return from a 20-game absence due to an oblique tear was overshadowed by Orlando’s struggles. Wagner scored a team-high 20 points, but his efforts were not enough to overcome Portland’s strong performance. Paolo Banchero had a rough night, shooting 1-for-14 with five turnovers, finishing with eight points and nine rebounds. Tristan Da Silva provided a spark off the bench for Orlando with 16 points.
The Magic’s loss, their fifth straight and seventh in eight games, dropped them to 23-23, eighth in the Eastern Conference. Their struggles have coincided with injuries to key players, including Jalen Suggs. The Blazers, meanwhile, continue their strong play and face the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. The Magic host the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
