**Las Vegas, NV** – Ryan Whyte Maloney, a former contestant on NBC’s *The Voice*, died by suicide on Tuesday, January 28th, at the age of 44. The Clark County Coroner’s office confirmed the manner of death.

Maloney, who had a weekend residency at Blake Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Las Vegas, was involved in an argument with his fiancée earlier that evening. According to a police report, the argument escalated after a dispute over a jacket, leading Maloney to retrieve a gun from the car’s glove compartment and exit the vehicle.
