**Hyderabad, [Date]** – The Telangana government has reiterated its commitment to supporting farmers, assuring that all eligible recipients of the Rythu Bharosa scheme will receive their funds by March 31st. This follows the recent disbursement of ₹569 crore to 441,911 farmers across 577 villages, covering 948,333 acres of land. The payments were part of a Republic Day initiative that launched four welfare schemes, including Rythu Bharosa, Indirama Atmiya Bharosa, new ration cards, and Indirama houses.
While the initial disbursement was welcomed, concerns arose amongst farmers who hadn’t yet received their payments. Addressing these concerns, Telangana’s Agriculture Minister, Tummalla Nageswara Rao, confirmed that the remaining funds will be credited to farmers’ accounts by the end of March. He highlighted the government’s significant investment in the agricultural sector, stating that ₹54,280 crore has been spent in the last year alone, and ₹72,000 crore has been allocated in the current state budget for agriculture and allied sectors. The Minister also directed officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply to farmers. He stressed that farmers who have not yet received their Rythu Bharosa payments have no need to worry, as the government is actively working to ensure everyone benefits from the scheme.
