**Kozhikode, Kerala – January 31, 2025** – Social activist Rahul Easwar has proposed the establishment of a Kerala Men’s Commission, mirroring the existing Women’s and Youth Commissions. His proposal, to be presented to the State Legislative Assembly with the support of MLA Eldhose Kunnapillil, aims to provide a platform for men facing allegedly fabricated harassment accusations.

This proposal follows Mr. Easwar’s own recent legal troubles. He was booked by Ernakulam Central police under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act for allegedly insulting the modesty of a woman, a charge stemming from a complaint filed by an actor. The complaint alleges cyber-harassment related to Mr. Easwar’s actions against businessman Boby Chemmanur.

While the Kerala High Court granted Mr. Easwar anticipatory bail, it mandated a two-week notice period before any coercive action could be taken should a non-bailable offense be registered.
