**New Delhi, [Date]** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today lauded the peaceful start to the Budget Session of Parliament, claiming it’s the first time since 2014 that foreign interference has been absent. Addressing his party MPs before the session commenced, Modi stated that previous sessions had been preceded by attempts to create disturbances, a trend he attributed to “mischief” by certain individuals aided by foreign forces.
“This is the first Parliament session since 2014 that saw no ‘videshi chingari’ (foreign interference),” Modi declared, adding that he had observed a pattern of attempts to ignite conflict before each budget session.
The Budget Session, which began with President Droupadi Murmu’s address to both houses, will see Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman present the Economic Survey today and the Union Budget tomorrow.
Modi emphasized the session’s focus on India’s comprehensive development, particularly women’s empowerment, and outlined a vision built on “innovation, inclusion, and investment.” He highlighted the discussion of several “historic bills and amendments” and the overarching goal of transforming India into a “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) through reform and performance.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that all MPs would contribute to this vision, emphasizing the unique opportunity for younger parliamentarians to witness and shape the nation’s progress. He specifically noted that India’s young population, particularly those aged 20-25, will reap the greatest benefits of this development by the time they reach 50, assuming key policymaking roles.
