**COIMBATORE, January 31, 2025** – A 50-year-old construction worker was arrested in Karamadai, Coimbatore district, on Thursday following accusations of bestiality against a street dog. A woman resident of Mangalakaraipudur reported witnessing the incident around 11 p.m. on Wednesday while feeding a local dog. She alerted her husband after observing the man taking the dog to a building under construction. Upon investigation, the couple allegedly found the man committing the act. Local residents apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the Karamadai police. The dog has since undergone a medical examination at a government veterinary clinic in Thekkampatti. Police have launched an investigation into the complaint.
