**Hyderabad, January 31, 2025** – A leopard was killed in a hit-and-run incident on National Highway 44 near Valluru village in Medak district on Thursday night. According to sources, the animal suffered injuries to its lower body after being struck by an unidentified vehicle. Despite attempts to move on its forelimbs, the leopard succumbed to its injuries.

A viral video circulating online shows the injured leopard attempting to chase a two-wheeler. Several bystanders are seen filming the incident on their mobile phones. Confirmation of the incident from Forest Department officials is pending.
