**KOCHI, January 31, 2025** – The Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (Kufos) and the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) jointly hosted an ocean science workshop on January 30th. The workshop, inaugurated by INCOIS Director T.M. Balakrishnan Nair, featured presentations on a range of topics including operational oceanography, the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems, advancements in satellite remote sensing technology, and strategies for marine biodiversity conservation. Experts from INCOIS, the Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Radar Research (Cusat), the National Institute of Oceanography, and Kufos presented their research findings. The event received support from the Department of Science and Technology.
