**Coimbatore, January 31, 2025** – Bharathiar University’s Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell conducted a day-long workshop on Friday to train faculty and researchers in the patenting process. The program, titled “IPR: Translating Research from Campus to Corporate,” aimed to help participants understand how to commercialize their innovative ideas and products.
S. Vincent, Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, emphasized the program’s importance in the inaugural address. The workshop was supported by the Patent Information Centre, the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, and the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi). The initiative equips researchers with crucial skills to navigate the complexities of intellectual property and translate their research into marketable ventures.
