Thu Jan 30 20:17:41 UTC 2025: ## FEFKA Defends General Secretary Amidst Allegations of Destabilization

**KOCHI, January 31, 2025** – The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) has vehemently defended its general secretary, B. Unnikrishnan, against allegations aimed at destabilizing the organization. These allegations stem from a police complaint filed by film producer Sandra Thomas, who accuses Unnikrishnan of attempting to isolate her within the industry.

FEFKA president Sibi Malayil countered these claims, highlighting Unnikrishnan’s role in previously resolving issues raised by Thomas. Malayil emphasized that as a non-member of FEFKA, Thomas should have addressed her grievances with the Kerala Film Producers’ Association instead. He characterized the complaint as part of a larger conspiracy against Unnikrishnan.

The federation further accused the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) of exacerbating the situation by supporting those who criticize Unnikrishnan and FEFKA. They cited an instance where a makeup artist allegedly faced job denial due to their association with the controversy. Malayil concluded by stating that issues raised by three women hairstylists during a recent hunger strike have been resolved.
