Fri Jan 31 04:56:29 UTC 2025: ## BLDE University Scientist Awarded Sixth Patent for Drug Delivery Innovation

**Belagavi, January 31, 2025** – Raghavendra V. Kulkarni, Chief Advisor and Registrar of BLDE Deemed University in Bijapur, has been granted a patent by the Union Government for his innovative work on drug delivery. The patent covers a “Pharmaceutical Composition of Electrically-Sensitive Polyacrylamide Grafted Gum Tragacanth Copolymer of Electro-Modulated Transdermal Drug Delivery.” This marks Dr. Kulkarni’s sixth patent, adding to his five existing patents in pharmacology. He currently has five more patent applications pending with the Indian patent office.

Karnataka Industries Minister M. B. Patil, also chairman of the BLDE Society, extended his congratulations to Dr. Kulkarni, along with other society members. Dr. Kulkarni’s research continues to advance the field of pharmacology and transdermal drug delivery.
