**New Delhi, January 31, 2025** – Delhi residents awoke to clear skies and a minimum temperature of 9.5°C on Friday, slightly above the seasonal average. However, despite the pleasant morning, the air quality remained poor, registering a very poor Air Quality Index (AQI) of 349 at 9 a.m. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a maximum temperature of 26°C for the day, while humidity levels were at 95% at 8:30 a.m. The poor AQI, categorized as “very poor” by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPBC), serves as a reminder of the ongoing air pollution challenges facing the city.
