Fri Jan 31 17:02:29 IST 2025: ## Former VCK and AIADMK Leaders Join Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam
**Chennai, January 31, 2025** – Aadhav Arjuna, former deputy general secretary of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), and C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar, former AIADMK IT wing joint secretary, joined the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) on Friday. The announcement was made at the party headquarters in Panaiyur, in the presence of TVK president Vijay. Both leaders have reportedly been given key positions within the TVK.
Arjuna’s move follows his six-month suspension from the VCK in December 2024, after criticizing the DMK’s “dynastic politics.” His comments came shortly after the launch of his book, “Ellorukkumaana Thalaivar Ambedkar,” which advocated for an end to dynastic rule in Tamil Nadu. Arjuna subsequently resigned from the VCK.
Kumar, who previously headed the BJP’s Tamil Nadu IT and social media unit, joined the AIADMK in March 2023 after accusing BJP state president K. Annamalai of misconduct.
The addition of these high-profile figures is expected to bolster the TVK’s presence in Tamil Nadu’s political landscape.
