**Chennai:** Kerala Blasters secured a resounding 3-1 victory over Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) but the win was overshadowed by a post-match brawl between two of their own players.
Captain Adrian Luna and substitute Noah Sadaoui clashed on the pitch in the dying minutes of injury time. The altercation stemmed from a missed scoring opportunity. Sadaoui, having received a pass from Muhammed Asghar, failed to score despite Luna and Ishan Pandita being unmarked in excellent positions within the box. Luna’s apparent frustration at the missed pass led to a heated exchange and physical confrontation with Sadaoui, only broken up by the intervention of Pandita. The pair continued to argue even after being separated. The match ended with Luna and Sadaoui pointedly ignoring each other as they left the field.
Despite the unsavory incident, Kerala Blasters’ victory was emphatic, thanks to goals from Jessel Carneiro (3rd minute), Korou Singh (45+3rd minute), and Kwame Peprah (56th minute). The win, crucial for maintaining their playoff hopes, marked their first victory in Chennai. Luna was named the man of the match.
