**Madurai, January 30, 2025** – The water level in the Mullaperiyar dam stood at 120.95 feet on Thursday, well below the maximum permissible level of 142 feet, according to the latest report. Inflow was recorded at 105 cusecs, while 556 cusecs were discharged. Meanwhile, the Vaigai dam registered a water level of 65.31 feet (maximum 71 feet), with an inflow of 405 cusecs and a discharge of 69 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was 4,762.31 mcft. Both dams are currently operating within safe limits.
