**Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu, January 30, 2025** – Tenkasi Collector A.K. Kamal Kishore has issued an appeal to parents of children under 15 years of age to update their wards’ Aadhaar cards. The Collector stressed the importance of updating the “Blue Aadhaar Card” issued to children under five, twice – at the age of five and again at 15 – as biometric details change significantly during childhood.
Free Aadhaar updates are available at government and government-aided schools. Parents who missed these opportunities can visit authorized Aadhaar registration centers. The Collector clarified that while the myAadhaar app can be used for address changes, other biometric updates must be done in person at these centers.
Collector Kishore also reminded residents to update their own Aadhaar details, including address, mobile number, and email, every ten years.
