Thu Jan 30 16:35:49 UTC 2025: ## Local Dentist’s Jewelry Stolen, Three Arrested in Coimbatore
**COIMBATORE, January 30, 2025** – Three men have been arrested in connection with the theft of 136 sovereigns of gold jewelry and ₹3 lakh in cash from the home of a dentist in Mahalingapuram, near Pollachi, Coimbatore district. The burglary occurred between January 12th and 14th while the dentist, J. Karthik, was visiting Kerala with his family.
The suspects, identified as Madurai natives S. Vairamani (24), M. Manishankar (32), and J. Karthik (37), were apprehended following an investigation by Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police K. Karthikeyan. Police reviewed footage from 280 surveillance cameras, ultimately tracing the burglars’ car despite their use of two fake number plates. All stolen property has been recovered.
