LAS VEGAS, NV – Former professional motocross racer Carey Hart, retired for 12 years, continues to grapple with the long-term effects of a career filled with extreme injuries. Hart, who boasts over 80 broken bones, recently revealed he underwent his 22nd surgery, this time on his knee. His extensive injury list includes shattered heels, broken femurs, and multiple broken arms and legs. One particularly severe crash kept him off his bike for two to three years and resulted in a month-long ICU stay.

The 48-year-old athlete, husband of singer Pink, has undergone numerous spinal surgeries, including fusions and disc replacements, resulting from repeated compression fractures. He openly admits that running is now out of the question due to his back and neck issues. Even so, Hart competed in Season 3 of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” admitting that staying injury-free was his greatest challenge on the show.

Beyond broken bones, Hart has also battled infections related to old surgical hardware, requiring a chest catheter and extended antibiotic treatment. He describes managing this infection as even more challenging than some of his past bone injuries. Despite the significant physical toll, Hart maintains a positive outlook, though his story serves as a stark reminder of the lasting impact of high-impact sports.
