Thu Jan 30 01:30:00 IST 2025: ## Paramount+ Unveils Trailer for “Happy Face,” Exploring the Daughter of the Happy Face Killer
**LOS ANGELES** – Paramount+ has released the first trailer for its upcoming series, “Happy Face,” a gripping drama based on the true story of Melissa Moore, daughter of notorious serial killer Keith Jesperson, the “Happy Face Killer.” The trailer, featuring Annaleigh Ashford as Moore and Dennis Quaid as Jesperson, offers a chilling glimpse into Moore’s lifelong struggle with her father’s horrific legacy.
The trailer opens with Moore facing a talk show host, revealing the shocking truth: “Because he’s my father.” The ensuing clips show Moore’s investigation into cases she believes are connected to her estranged father, grappling with the possibility of reconciliation to secure justice for a man wrongly imprisoned for Jesperson’s crimes.
“Every violent act is a rock dropped in water,” Moore states in the trailer. “If you stay silent, the ripples of trauma just keep pulling everyone they touch underneath.” The trailer culminates with a powerful scene of Moore visiting her incarcerated father in prison.
Jesperson, convicted in 2010 for the murders of eight women, earned his moniker from the smiley faces he drew on letters to police. His daughter, who has been a vocal advocate for victims of crime, previously detailed her experiences in her 2009 book, “Shattered Silence,” and a 20/20 interview. She has dedicated her life to helping others affected by similar tragedies.
“Happy Face,” which also stars David Harewood, will premiere on Paramount+ on March 20th. The series promises a compelling and emotional exploration of a daughter’s journey to confront her past and fight for justice.
