**Mumbai, India –** The blockbuster Telugu film *Pushpa 2: The Rule*, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is set to premiere on Netflix on January 30th. The OTT release will include 23 minutes of extra footage not seen in theaters. The film, a sequel to the hugely successful *Pushpa: The Rise*, continues the story of Pushpa Raj’s rise in the red sandal smuggling syndicate.
Netflix India announced the premiere date via a teaser on its official Instagram account. The streaming service will offer the film in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The theatrical release of *Pushpa 2* was marred by tragedy. On December 4th, 2024, a stampede outside a Hyderabad theatre during a promotional event resulted in the death of a woman, Revathi, and critical injuries to her child. Allu Arjun was briefly arrested in connection with the incident but later released on bail. The incident overshadowed the film’s otherwise successful box office run.
