**Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala –** A two-year-old girl was found dead in a well in Balaramapuram, near Thiruvananthapuram, on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, under mysterious circumstances that have prompted a police investigation.
The child, who lived with her family in a rented house, was reported missing around 5:15 a.m. A search involving police and fire and rescue services located her body in the well. Police are questioning the parents and other family members.
The circumstances surrounding the death are suspicious. The well is reportedly secured by a wall, making it unlikely the child fell in accidentally. Adding to the mystery, a fire broke out in the room where the child’s uncle slept shortly before the child went missing, and the family had recently reported ₹30 lakh missing from their home, with inconsistencies noted in their statements to the police.
