Thu Jan 30 14:10:00 IST 2025: ## Bagha Police Pay Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Death Anniversary

**Bagha, Bihar:** A two-minute silence was observed at the Bagha Police Headquarters today to mark the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The tribute, part of nationwide commemorations on January 30th, was attended by police officers and personnel led by Bagha Superintendent of Police Sushant Kumar Saroj. Personnel from the SSB 21st and 65th Battalions, and even striking Home Guard personnel, also participated in the solemn observance.

January 30th is observed as Martyrs’ Day in India to remember Gandhi’s assassination by Nathuram Godse in 1948. Another Martyrs’ Day is observed on March 13th to honor the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev.

SP Saroj emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of these freedom fighters and upholding their ideals of national unity and integrity. Similar tributes were held across various government offices throughout the region.
