**Bengaluru, January 30, 2025** – The Karnataka State government announced the appointment of a new Chief Information Commissioner and seven Information Commissioners. Retired IPS officer Ashit Mohan Prasad will lead the commission. The new Information Commissioners include retired IAS officer Mamatha B.R. and senior journalists Rajashekara S., Badruddin K., and Rudranna Harthikote, along with Raman K., Harish Kumar, and Narayan G. Channal. Over 100 candidates applied for the positions.
