**TIRUPATI, INDIA (January 30, 2025)** – The 17th annual Tirupati Book Festival will take place from February 1st to 9th at Vinayaka Nagar grounds. The festival, organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Tirupati Kendra, will feature approximately seventy stalls showcasing a wide range of books from various publishers, including TTD, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and Visalandhra Book House. Books will cover diverse subjects, from science and spirituality to engineering, medicine, and computer technology.
The event will be inaugurated by eminent jurist and retired Justice B.N. Srikrishna and SVIMS Vice-Chancellor R.V. Kumar. The valedictory function will be presided over by IISER Director Santanu Bhattacharya. District Collector S. Venkateswar will also be in attendance.
Beyond book sales, the festival will host a series of interactive forums, cultural programs, music and dance concerts, spiritual orations, scientific debates, and literary discussions. Prominent figures including Sahitya Akademi awardee Madhurantakam Narendra and several Vice-Chancellors from prominent universities will participate in these events, addressing various topics and engaging in brainstorming sessions. A special talk on environmental protection will be delivered by MCT Commissioner N. Mourya. The festival represents the culmination of a book fair tour across Telugu states, offering publishers a final opportunity to reach consumers before the academic year concludes.
