Thu Jan 30 11:03:09 UTC 2025: ## All-Party Meeting Precedes Parliament’s Budget Session

**New Delhi, January 30, 2025** – Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Kiren Rijiju held an all-party meeting Thursday to discuss the upcoming Budget Session of Parliament, beginning Friday. The meeting, attended by 52 leaders from 36 parties, saw a largely positive exchange, according to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rijiju. While various issues were raised by party leaders, including the recent Maha Kumbh stampede that claimed 30 lives, Rijiju stated that the Business Advisory Committee will decide which issues will be prioritized for discussion.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari revealed that the INDIA bloc, a coalition of opposition parties, will present a united front, raising concerns about rising unemployment, farmers’ distress, and the alleged politicization of the Maha Kumbh. Tiwari criticized the VIP movement at the Kumbh, claiming it caused hardship for ordinary attendees and highlighted the event’s transformation into a gathering of BJP-affiliated VIPs.

The Budget Session will commence with the President’s address on Friday, followed by the presentation of the Union Budget on Saturday. The session will be divided into two parts, concluding on February 13th and resuming March 10th before its final adjournment on April 4th.
