**Mumbai, January 30, 2025** – A special court in Mumbai has issued non-bailable warrants for three accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead on October 12, 2024. The warrants target Anmol Lavindersing Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and two others, Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar and Jishan Akhtar. The court cited sufficient evidence linking Bishnoi to the crime, noting that a request for his deportation from the USA is already pending in a separate case related to a shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence. The court also found substantial evidence implicating Lonkar and Akhtar, including social media posts allegedly accepting responsibility for the murder and financial transactions linked to the crime. The Mumbai police have already charged 26 individuals under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in connection with the murder, and these individuals are currently in judicial custody.
