Thu Jan 30 07:32:25 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Artists Explore New Dimensions in Creative Expression

**Hyderabad, January 30, 2025** – Three Hyderabad-based artists are pushing creative boundaries, experimenting with new mediums and techniques to elevate their artistic practices. Ramesh Gorjala, known for his Kalamkari paintings, is incorporating colored glass beads into his mythological depictions, a process requiring months of meticulous work and multiple failed experiments before achieving the desired effect. This innovative approach follows his inspiration from the India Art Fair 2024.

Priti Samyukta, Head of the Department of Painting at JNAFAU and a Fulbright Scholar, is exploring the world of cloth appliqué and quilt art. Inspired by her research on Gee’s Bend quilts, she’s creating abstract and figurative works using repurposed fabric, a process she finds both challenging and therapeutic. Her recent exhibitions in the US and India showcase this exciting new direction.

Pavan Kumar, an educator at NIFT Hyderabad, is showcasing his evolving assemblage sculptures in his solo exhibition, “Survivor.” Using wood as his primary medium, he crafts three-dimensional human forms, infusing them with personal narratives and reflecting on his two-decade-long artistic journey in a commercialized world. His work started with creating toys for his daughter and has now developed into larger, more complex pieces.

These artists’ explorations demonstrate a commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing the challenges of innovation, enriching the Hyderabad art scene with their unique and evolving styles.
