**Hong Kong –** The Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) has announced SKYTOPIA, a massive redevelopment project aimed at transforming Hong Kong International Airport into a world-class leisure and cultural destination. The initiative will blend art, entertainment, recreation, and commerce to create a unique airport experience.
Key features of SKYTOPIA include Hong Kong’s first one-stop art hub, a dedicated art storage facility, and the city’s largest yacht bay with over 500 berths. Water recreation enthusiasts will enjoy a new large water recreation area. Entertainment will be boosted by Phase 2 of AsiaWorld-Expo, featuring a massive new indoor performance venue capable of hosting up to 20,000 spectators. A gourmet “Jet Fresh Market” will offer culinary delights from around the globe.
Sports and recreation will be catered to by a new “sportstainment” complex, while a scenic 1.5km CoveWalk and Piazza will provide waterfront views.
