Wed Jan 29 15:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Savannah Bananas to Take “Banana Ball 3.0” on Nationwide Tour, Launch League in 2026

**SAVANNAH, GA** – The Savannah Bananas, known for their wildly entertaining brand of baseball, are gearing up for their biggest season yet. Owner Jesse Cole announced plans for “Banana Ball 3.0,” a refined version of their unique game experience, which will see the team play in 17 Major League Baseball stadiums, including Atlanta’s Truist Park, in 2025.

Following a sold-out 2024 season attracting over 1 million fans, the Bananas will continue their signature blend of baseball, dance, and theatrical performances. Expect more dancing umpires, stilt-walking players, and the popular “Lion King” pregame homage, along with new stunts and skits designed to make every pitch a spectacle. Cole aims to create a “can’t take my eyes off the show” experience, laying the groundwork for the launch of a Banana Ball League in 2026. This new league will feature six regional franchises.

The 2025 season will also include games in major football stadiums across the Southeast, maximizing exposure and fan reach. The Bananas’ 30 home games at Savannah’s Grayson Stadium begin February 21st. However, tickets are exceptionally hard to come by; Cole reports a waitlist exceeding 3 million names. The team advises fans to be wary of fraudulent tickets on resale sites.

The Bananas’ success draws inspiration from both the Harlem Globetrotters and the promotional genius of P.T. Barnum and Bill Veeck. Banana Ball’s faster pace of play, unique scoring system (points instead of runs), and rules designed to encourage close games will continue. The team’s roster includes former Major League players and entertainers, and celebrity cameos remain a staple.

The Bananas will once again face off against their barnstorming rivals, the Party Animals and Firefighters, with a new team, the Texas Tailgaters, joining the competition this year. These four teams will battle for the inaugural Banana Ball Tour Championship in Savannah this October.
