Wed Jan 29 01:31:30 UTC 2025: ## Kohli’s Ranji Trophy Return to be Live-Streamed on JioCinema

**New Delhi, January 28** – Cricket fans will get a chance to witness Virat Kohli’s long-awaited return to the Ranji Trophy after a 12-year hiatus. The former India captain will play for Delhi against Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi starting January 30th. Initially, the match was not scheduled for live television or streaming coverage. However, due to the overwhelming anticipation surrounding Kohli’s participation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the game will be live-streamed on JioCinema.

The decision comes as a surprise, as the BCCI typically broadcasts only one Ranji Trophy match per round. This year, that match was initially slated to be Karnataka vs Haryana, featuring KL Rahul. The inclusion of Kohli’s match has prompted a change in broadcasting plans. At least 10,000 fans are expected to attend the match in person, with the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) offering free tickets. While the BCCI has not yet confirmed live television coverage, details are expected by January 29th.

Kohli’s last Ranji Trophy appearance was in 2012. He recently concluded a disappointing tour of Australia, but has been seen practicing extensively with the Delhi team, focusing on shots against pace and left-arm spin. The match against Railways marks a significant event for Indian cricket fans, eager to see the star batsman back in domestic action.
