**Goa, India –** The University of Surrey announced plans to establish an international branch campus in GIFT City, Gujarat, India, in collaboration with GUS Global Services (GGS). The announcement, made during the QS India Summit 2025, marks a significant step towards positioning GIFT City as a hub for international higher education.
The project, currently in its final stages of pre-delivery, awaits regulatory approval from Gujarat’s International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). A meeting between University representatives and IFSCA officials is scheduled for January 31st to finalize the approval process.
The campus will offer programs in business, international finance, computer science, and cybersecurity, aligning with GIFT City’s strategic vision. University of Surrey faculty will lead all teaching and academic aspects, while GGS will manage ancillary services including student enrollment and campus operations. The British High Commission and the British Council in India are supporting this initiative. This partnership leverages the University’s academic excellence with GGS’s expertise in establishing international education programs in India.
