**Rajkot, India (January 29, 2025)** – India’s Tilak Varma and Varun Chakravarthy have made significant jumps in the latest ICC men’s T20I rankings, released Wednesday. Varma climbed to second place among batters, trailing only Australia’s Travis Head by 23 points. His impressive performances in the ongoing T20I series against England, including scores of 19*, 72*, and 18, propelled him up the rankings. Other notable Indian climbers include Abhishek Sharma (up 59 places to 40th) and Axar Patel (up five places to 11th). England’s Liam Livingstone and Ben Duckett also saw significant ranking improvements.

England’s Adil Rashid reclaimed the top spot among T20I bowlers, while India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues his reign as the top-ranked Test bowler, also recently winning the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year 2024.
